Mike, Thank you. It is remarkably clean. Has a fine repaired top crack and a small repaired back crack, along with some play wear on top, but otherwise looks really nice. Now I just need to learn how...

I tune mine like an octave mando: GDAe.These are very fun guitars!Friends of Dave

Mac, Thanks for the link. I'm a bit confused though (not tough to do) On their site, they state that "standard" tenor guitar tuning is CGDA, and GDAE is mandolin tuning, and yet you suggest CGAE is...

I think Mac meant that true tenor tuning is in 5ths, like mando and other instruments. The 5ths for tenor are CDGA, and the 5ths for mando are GDAE.BobFriends of Dave

Bob, Got it - thank you! I tuned it up in CGDA last night and went looking for some tenor chords online. You know, these pencil necked little guitars are really fun to play and really produce more...

Bassrun, That is one beautiful L-2. What year is it? And yes, your guitar and my tenor seem to be very similar. Is the neck bound on your L-2 - I can't tell from the pics. And yes, I believe the TG-1...

Tim--Thanks for the compliment! Yes, the fingerboard on my L-2 is bound, white-black-white. The guitar needed a lot of work, especially because when the original bridge went AWOL it took a chunk of...

More mad props on the L-2, yo.My L-2 is one of my all time favorite guitars.Does yours have the "sparkle" inlay? Mine has the argentine gray finish, the sparkle purfling, and the headstock is inlaid...

Allen--It's hard to tell about the fingerboard. Either it's slightly reddish ebony, or it's very dark rosewood. Nope, mine doesn't have the sparkle, so that's why I thought it had to be an L-1 rather...
